What Zinq does
The music of ZINQ – Zenz in Quintet complements genres from chamber music to improvisation and jazz, to the point of vanguard minimal music and film scores. Between dark musical passages and cheerful alpine thirds original compositions are being developed, that do not shy away from the breaklines between the genres.
The string quintet finds its own sound language that might as well be placed in an old black and white movie. The musicians come from diverse musical backgrounds, from classical music to jazz and even beyond that, including all their accompanying angles and edges.
